A warm friendly welcome awaits you at the "Old Cart Lodge" sleeping 4 people.
Once the home of our calves and tractors is now a superb conversion in an idillic location.
Set back from the country lane it has its own secluded garden.
The sun sets on the summer house and patio making it the perfect retreat to unwind.

Nutley is set on the "Ashdown Forest" in the lovely Sussex countryside. An area of outstanding natural beauty.
The village is 1 mile away from the lodge, with its village green, post office and general stores. It has a choice of restaurants and pub/restaurant.

Within 3 miles from the lodge is the village of "Fletching" famous for its charm and excellent pubs/restaurants.

There are many walks to be taken from the lodge (some mapped out for you). Why not take a walk on Ashdown Forest and land up with a superb cream tea at the duddleswell Tea Rooms or see the forest on horseback (fore hire locally).

Within 30 minutes drive you have the spectacular Sussex coast with its rolling down land. Eastbourne/Beachy Bead/The Severn Sisters/1066 country of Hastings/Bexhill-on-sea. Brighton with its Dome and Pvillion/ Historic Lewis Castle and Ann Cleaves House. Glyndbourne Opera House nestling in the downs.

Sheffield Park, Standon 10 - 15 min drive, Batemans/Sissinghurst/Scotney Castle, Wakehurst Place/Heaver Castle/Penshurst Place

The Bluebell Railway (5 min), Pooh Corner. The National Golf Course is 15min drive at Uckfield ond there are other courses locally. There are a number of leisure centres providing swimming/gym & sports facilities.

There is walking and sailing around the local reservoirs close by.
